Online Symposium – “Immigration and Citizenship in International Law”

Yaşar University International Law Implementation and Research Center organized an Online Symposium entitled “Immigration and Citizenship in International Law” on 21-22 April, 2022 with the participation of experts studying on different dimensions of international law.

 

Prof. Dr. Ali Nazım Sözer (Vice Rector of Yaşar University), delivered the opening speech of the panel.

The symposium started with Prof Dr. Işıl Özkan’s talk that focused on “Acquisition of Citizenship by Migration.”

 

Prof. Dr. Kerem Batır (Dean of Faculty of Law at Katip Çelebi University), talked about “Assessment on Target States’ Citizenship Requirements After Migration.”

Asst. Prof. Dr. Bengül Kavlak (Faculty Member at İzmir Demokrasi University Faculty of Law) talked about “The Concept of Climate Migrants and Consideration of This Withın The Context of Turkish Migration Law.”

Prof. Dr. Zeynep Derya Tarman (Faculty Member at Koç University Faculty of Law) talked about “Voluntary Return As A Permanant Solution.”
