Event – “Panel: Russia-Ukraine Conflict and the Security of the Black Sea”

International Law Implementation and Research Center organized a panel on the 9th of March, 2022. The panel is entitled “Russia-Ukraine Conflict and the Security of the Black Sea.”

Prof. Dr. Işıl Özkan (Faculty Member at Yaşar University Faculty of Law and the President of International Law Implementation and Research Center) delivered the opening speech of the panel and assumed the role of the mediator.

The panel started with Prof Dr. Hasan Köni’s talk that focused on “NATO Enlargement and Russia.” Other speakers included Prof. Dr. Sertaç Başeren who talked about “Montreux Convention”, Prof. Dr. Mitat Çelikpala whose presentation was on “Russian Foreign Policy from an International Relations Perspective” and Assist Prof. Dr. Bahadır Bumin Özarslan whose talk was entitled “Russian Foreign Policy Approach after the Cold War.”
